During the 1970ies snd 1980 Rosemarie Zanger´s family maintained a tight friendship to the ceramic artist Paula Dupp from Höhr-Grenzhausen. She and her husband Rolf visited repeatedly her artcraft atelier and acquired there a greater set of ceramic handcraft, personally designed and manufactured by Mrs. Dupp, some of these pieces with personal dedication engravings. From this set a teapot and several dishes are actually missing. The friendship to the artist based on the common membership to the "Naval Fellowship Battleship Scharnhorst" and the participation in several annual meetings of these war veteran circle in Bad Marienberg and Bad Harzburg.

"Father of Carl Weil sen. (Petersburg)
The picture was stored as portrait of an unidentified familiar ancestor,
the supposed great-grandfather of Rosemarie Zanger
originary from St. Peterburgh (Russia) and occupied as house-teacher
during his several stages in Germany during the average 1850-1880 years.
According to the legend, the russian tutor emigrant maintained an unmarried relationship
to his pupil Wilhelmine Katherine Friederike Weil (*5th Sept. 1845 at Wüstems-Steinfischbach)
who gave birth at 20.2.1870 at the age of 25 to their common son
Carl Wilhelm Weil (Grandfather of Rosemarie Zanger) at Mainz
according to the German Nazi ancestor registry documents from 1933-1945 at Rod a.d.Weil.
The father returned to Saint Petersburgh and sent letters during several years to his wife.
The actual existence and the fatherhood resulting from the Love-Relationship between Wilhelmine Katherine Friederike Weil and the father of Carl Wilhelm Weil is beyond doubt on the basis of the later political analysis of the love letters sent to Wilhelmine from St. Petersburgh. What remains to be checked, however, is the authenticity of the portrait photo or the question of wether the face of the original father in the picture was partially exchanged by image overlay. That latter effort, to exchange visually the identity of a person and foreign father, would not be out of the ordinary, if the person belonged to prominent celebrity descendence or diplomatic personnel. In the present case, it is most likely a person from the royal court of ELISABETHA MICHAILOWNA ROMANOWA that lived between 31. January 1844 and January 1845 in Wiesbaden.
